Photographers’ Network Meeting: Stuart Griffiths

Hosted by Open Eye, Network Meetings are regular get-togethers for photographers to meet and mingle over a drink, and hear a talk by an invited speaker. For our next meeting we’re pleased to welcome speaker Stuart Griffiths for a Q&A about his work.

Stuart began using photography as a young soldier while serving in Northern Ireland during the 1980s and 90s. In 1997 he graduated from the University of Brighton with a Degree in Editorial Photography. Stuart’s first solo exhibition, Closer (Brighton, 2010), explored his personal feelings towards war and conflict, and responded to the unseen consequences of the ongoing campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. His first monograph, The Myth of the Airborne Warrior, was published by Photoworks in 2011.
